Green Dot
Not a bin instructionDoes NOT mean recyclable. The manufacturer paid into a European recycling scheme. That's it.
Which bin?
Ignore this symbol. It tells you nothing about which bin to use. Look for an OPRL label instead.
What does it mean?
This is the most misunderstood symbol in the UK. The two interlocking arrows mean the producer has made a financial contribution to recycling schemes in Europe. It says absolutely nothing about whether the packaging is recyclable or which bin it goes in. You can completely ignore this symbol when deciding how to dispose of something. It's being phased out in the UK but still appears on many products, especially those sold across Europe.
