How BinBosh Works
For users
Search your postcode
Type your postcode into the search box. BinBosh checks whether your neighbours have already set up bin schedules for streets in your area.
Browse streets in your area
You'll see a list of streets with schedules — each bin type, collection day, and frequency. Find your street and check which bins are covered.
Adopt your schedule
Tap "Use this schedule" on each bin type you want. It takes one tap per bin. You're now subscribed to that schedule and your dashboard shows when each bin goes out.
Get reminded the night before
Enable push notifications and BinBosh pings you at 7 PM the evening before each collection. No app download needed — it works right in your browser.
Check in & earn
On bin day, tap the check-in button to confirm your bins are out. Build streaks, earn StreetCred, and unlock multipliers. Earn enough and you can redeem StreetCred for free Premium.
For binfluencers
If no one's set up schedules for your street yet, you can be the first. Creating a schedule takes a couple of minutes — you enter the bin type, colour, collection day, and frequency.
Once you've created it, every neighbour who searches your postcode can find it and adopt it in one tap. You've just sorted bin day for your whole street. Made a mistake? You can edit your schedule from the dashboard anytime before a neighbour adopts it.
Creating and maintaining schedules earns you StreetCred — BinBosh's community reputation system. The more you help, the higher your tier — and you can redeem StreetCred for free Premium. Invite neighbours to your street — earn 50 StreetCred when they join and adopt a schedule.
Edit anytime
Made a mistake? No problem — edit your collection day, frequency, or bin colour from the dashboard anytime. Once neighbours start using your schedule, it locks to keep things reliable.
But BinBosh doesn't stop at reminders
Your schedule gets more accurate over time because your neighbours use it. Every check-in, vote, and adoption builds community trust.
Schedules earn trust
When neighbours adopt and check in, the schedule progresses from Unconfirmed to Community to Verified. The verified badge means real people on your street have confirmed this schedule works.
Bank holidays handled
Many councils shift collections during bank holiday weeks. BinBosh flags affected days and lets your neighbours vote on the real collection day. When three people agree, it locks in for everyone.
Self-correcting
Bin not collected? Report it. The community flags problems before they spread. No stale database, no waiting for the council to update their website.
Every action counts
Check-ins, votes, and reports all earn StreetCred. Rise through the tiers — Bin Starter, Bin Regular, Bin Boss, Bin Legend — and redeem StreetCred for free Premium.
What goes in each bin?
Every council has different recycling rules. BinBosh shows you exactly what goes in each bin for your area — no more guessing at the kerb. Search any item and get a council-specific answer in seconds.
There's also a recycling symbols decoder (19 UK packaging symbols explained), a common items guide, and a food waste guide.
