OPRL Recycle
Recycling binThe most reliable symbol. If you see this, it goes in your recycling bin.
Which bin?
Put in your recycling bin. Follow any extra instructions on the label (rinse, cap on, flatten, etc.).
What does it mean?
This is the official UK recycling label, managed by OPRL. When you see "Recycle" in the box, at least 75% of UK councils collect this material at kerbside. It's the most trustworthy symbol on any product — if you see it, you're good. You might also see extra instructions like "Rinse" (wash off food residue first), "Cap On" (keep the lid on so it doesn't fall through sorting machines), "Flatten" (squash it to save space), or "Sleeve Off" (peel off the plastic sleeve and bin it separately).
